Pilates Manchester specialises in chronic dysfunction, spine and back rehabilitation training. We collaborate closely with surgeons, physiotherapists, chiropractors, and osteopaths to provide a fully integrated approach to your health and movement.

Our programs have an integrated approach and are ideal for individuals who are are on their prehabilitation journey and our looking to enhance their performance or maintain progress.

About Nisha

With a background in dance, yoga, and Pilates, Nisha integrates movement wisdom
with advanced corrective exercise and lifestyle coaching to help her clients
achieve lasting relief and full-body resilience.

Nisha is passionate about helping adults over 40 overcome chronic pain, restore
functional movement, and reconnect with their bodies. Her approach is rooted in
the CHEK Method—a comprehensive, systems-based model that transformed
her own life after years of struggling with weight gain, poor posture, and
unresolved gut health issues, acne that conventional medicine failed to address.

Her philosophy is grounded in compassion, consistency, and a healthy dose of
humour—believing these to be essential for healing and personal growth. Nisha
works closely with individuals who are committed to meaningful, lasting change
rather than short-term fixes. Her process is deeply personal, thorough, and
informed by detailed assessments and coaching practices.

At Pilates Manchester we work hard to ensure we offer a service which is second to none. Our reputation is very important to us – below are just a few comments from previous clients.

Working with Nisha on the Chek programme produced results beyond my initial goals.

The programme takes a holistic approach to health and fitness working on the physical, mental and emotional as one package, working on the root of a problem.
My original goal related to both an inevitable hip replacement and also to manage a skin condition, rosacea, which I had previously managed by taking long bouts of antibiotics.
The programme addressed, lifestyle, a personalised workout plan and very detailed diet based on my body type, as well as various spinal and body measurements which were taken to address posture and movement.  There was also focus on the emotional aspect, learning how to manage stress, improve sleep and living a healthier life.
Practising all of the above certainly contributed to a very speedy recovery post operation, with little to no pain.  Identifying foods which caused the breakouts assisted with management of the skin issues.
All in all, working with Nisha has brought many benefits, not necessarily an easy route but certainly effective.

  14. Understanding sub optimal choices. They will happen, but recognise them and adapt to avoid the indifference.

Pilates has been a wonderful addition to my weekly routine. Nisha incorporates mind, body, and a sense of positive spirit in every session. I leave feeling lighter and more positive. Nisha pushes me to achieve more flexibility, but only at the pace I can handle. I walked into her studio last year with extreme pain, now I am pain free on most days. I highly recommend her Pilates studio.

I was looking for a reformer Pilates class in Chorlton, so I could walk to it, but most classes were fully booked or 1-2-1 (I'd rather have more frequent group classes than 1-2-1 sessions).

Expanding my search, I found Nisha at Pilates Manchester, and I’m so glad I did!

Nisha brings a wealth of experience, especially with back pain and injury rehabilitation. She called me before booking my first class and we had an in-depth chat about my concerns.

When I arrived for the first time, Nisha showed me the equipment and explained how to move things around so I was prepared for adjusting things during classes.

I have hypermobility and a bit of backache from office work and I found her style worked really well for me. I enjoy body pump and lifting weights at the gym, and sometimes Pilates and Yoga feel like they're not doing much to my body (and they're sometimes a bit boring!), but with the Reformer equipment and fast paced guidance, I felt the benefit and enjoyed myself.

Nisha is so supportive, and the focus on strength, proper form and a decent tempo makes a real difference. The class size is limited to about 8 people, so she can adjust you or give individual instructions if you're not quite in the right position.

I was also grateful to the other people in the class - most of them have been going to Nisha's classes for years. They were keeping an eye out for me and would show me what to do if I missed an instruction.

Great facilities, great instruction and a lovely community. It’s definitely worth the extra travel!

I’ve been to Pilates classes over the years, but Nisha is in a league of her own. Her no-nonsense, straightforward approach is incredibly refreshing, she gets straight to the point, with clear guidance that actually makes a difference.

With years of experience behind her, Nisha really knows her stuff, particularly when it comes to injuries and back pain. Her knowledge and attention to detail give you complete confidence that you're in safe hands.

In a market that’s often oversaturated and style over substance, Nisha’s expertise and genuine care for her clients make her stand out. She will often check in, in between classes. If you're looking for proper Pilates with a purpose, I can’t recommend her highly enough.

Nisha’s Pilates studio is a gem. I’ve been coming three times a week for almost a year, and it’s a highlight of my routine. The space is peaceful, fully equipped with top-notch Pilates machines, and the personal attention from Nisha and her team makes all the difference. It’s more than just a workout—it’s a place you feel truly supported. Highly recommend.

I have been attending classes at Pilates Manchester for a lower back injury for a few months now. I have been impressed with the facilities and the professionalism and the dedication of the teachers, Nisha and Charlotte. The focus is on good technique so as to really benefit from the class and you are always being guided by Nisha and Charlotte. The intensity is high but I have started to see a lot of positive changes physically and mentally. I cannot recommend them enough.

Thanks Nisha ! Just wanted to post this review to say this course has given me an appreciation of the amazing power of Pilates. Lee is an amazing instructor, always explaining why we are doing a particular exercise, how to align correctly and micro correcting for best achievement. I have already increased the mobility in my thoracic spine, lengthened my whole spine and loosened both my shoulders. I have also begun to gain strength in my quads and core and this has really helped with my back pain. I am signing up again for another set of sessions.

I've joined classes here for 2 months now. The studio is 5 minutes away from my house and I surprised that I never notice until I google Pilates near me on Google!

Anyway, I've joined two courses, a beginner one and a discovery course. I've met Nisha, Lee and Kenney. They're all very nice and patient. It is small class, which means you get quite a lot of guidance. They definitely bring me to the new world of Pilates, and I love it!

Highly recommend both 121 sessions and classes with Pilates Manchester. Excellent instruction, awareness of rehab and small class sizes. Been going for 4-5 years off and on but a regular now.

My husband and I have been going to Nisha for private classes for six years now. She does an amazing job of keeping us strong and fit. We both enjoy running, and she always tailors each session towards whatever niggles or priorities we have that week. She's incredibly knowledgeable, experienced and professional. I admire her desire to constantly keep learning and improving in every aspect of her life.

The best pilates classes I ever had. Forget about everything you know from pilates inside these regular gyms, this one is completely different, with an specific equipment, private lessons or small group, maximum 5 people, they can really focus on your needs and can pay attention in every detail of your body and movement. I can feel the difference and improvement on my body and I did only 3 months. The classes has one hour long, which worthy every penny, the teacher is really good, very focused and the place is really easy to access, 15 minutes from the city centre by tram. 5 stars , I really recommend.

I have recently completed the 6-week mat-based prenatal / postnatal Pilates classes. Nisha takes safety seriously and answered any questions I had in the pre-class health check phone call. The dedicated studio in Sale is well equipped and clean. Gemma, the instructor, is very friendly and adapted the exercise well for pregnancy. I would highly recommend this studio to any pregnant ladies wanting to keep fit and mobile. I have just signed up to another 6 weeks right up to my due date!

After years of bad neck and shoulder pain and the arrival of a new baby I started to attend Manchester Pilates in a hope to finally try and alleviate the issues and build back my strength! I was at the end of the road with how to even start to do this but through initial 1-1 sessions with Nisha and then group classes I can honestly say I have very little to no pain on a day to day basis. I enjoy the sessions and Nisha’s knowledge is remarkable. I also continued going all the way through my second pregnancy remaining strong for when I returned after a short break. It’s amazing what you can achieve when you’re in capable hands. Feeling very grateful this sort of studio exists near to where I live.
